Wind Song - Tuulen Laulu
Wind Song - Tuulen Laulu
Wind Song (Tuulen Laulu) is shaped by motion, light moving across the curves of the braid in a way that shifts as you do.
Woven by hand using traditional Sámi techniques, it’s made entirely from pewter thread. The braid has density and structure, giving it a formed presence on the wrist while still allowing the surface to catch light in quieter, changing ways.
It has some weight to it but moves naturally, holding its shape without feeling rigid, the pattern revealing itself more the longer it’s worn.
People notice it, even if they can’t quite say why.

Materials & Craft
Materials & Craft
Each piece is made by hand in my Washington studio using traditional Sámi techniques and materials imported directly from Sweden.
Materials vary by design and may include reindeer leather, pewter thread, antler, copper, beads, sterling silver, or 14k gold. The pewter thread is an alloy of tin and silver. Small variations are part of the handwork, not flaws.
