What materials are used in Nomadic Artistry jewelry?
Nomadic Artistry bracelets are made with reindeer leather, reindeer antler buttons, and braided pewter thread imported from northern Sweden. Pewter thread is a lead- and nickel-free alloy of tin and silver produced specifically for Sámi-style braiding.
Some designs also include colored copper thread, pewter buttons, sterling silver components, or optional magnetic closures. With wear, colored copper may reveal the copper beneath, while the leather and metals soften and develop character. These natural changes are expected, not flaws.

How do buttons and closures work?
Most Nomadic Artistry bracelets are finished with a durable reindeer antler button, which becomes easier to use with wear. Some antler buttons are shaped and finished by me specifically for individual pieces.
Pewter buttons and sterling silver magnetic closures are also available by request. Magnetic closures can be helpful for anyone with limited mobility or dexterity. Please contact me before ordering so your bracelet can be made with the appropriate closure.
Sizing & Fit
How do I measure my wrist, and how should my bracelet fit?
Wrap a soft measuring tape—or a strip of paper—around your wrist where you prefer to wear the bracelet. It should rest naturally against your skin without squeezing or leaving a gap. Measure the paper if needed, then add at least ¼ inch for comfort.
The finished bracelet should feel secure but not restrictive and should move slightly on your wrist. With regular wear, most bracelets stretch approximately ¼ inch as the leather softens. Daily wear produces this change more readily than occasional wear.

What if I'm between sizes?
If you fall between standard sizes, you may request a ⅛-inch increment for a more precise fit. This can be especially helpful for wider bracelets.
When in doubt, sizing slightly larger is usually the better choice, particularly for a bracelet you plan to wear every day.
Can bracelet sizes be adjusted after they are made?
Often, yes. If a bracelet is too small, new leather ends may be added to increase its length. If it is too large, it can often be shortened by moving the button and loop or replacing the leather ends. Any necessary changes to its appearance will be discussed first.
Downsizing is free within one year of purchase; you are responsible for return shipping. After one year, downsizing is $15 plus return shipping. Because options depend on the design, please contact me with a photo before sending your bracelet.
Wearing & Care
Can I wear my bracelet every day, and how should I care for it?
Yes. Nomadic Artistry bracelets are made to be lived in. Daily wear will naturally soften the leather, develop patina in the metals, and leave visible signs of use. These changes are expected and give each piece its character.
To slow wear, avoid prolonged exposure to water, chemicals, and personal-care products when possible. Clean your bracelet with a dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use gentle soap, minimal water, and a soft brush, then allow it to dry completely.
Some people wear their bracelets through everything. That isn’t wrong, but moisture, chemicals, and repeated stress may cause faster or less predictable changes. Understanding that tradeoff lets you choose how to wear yours.

How should I store my bracelet when I'm not wearing it?
Store your bracelet in its natural rounded shape, either buttoned or unbuttoned—not pressed flat. Flattening a worn-in bracelet can stress both the braid and the leather.
Keep it in a cool, dry place. If it has been exposed to water, allow it to dry completely before storing.
Orders, Shipping & Policies
Are pieces made to order, and how long will mine take?
Most Nomadic Artistry pieces are handcrafted to order. Ready-to-ship pieces, when available, will be clearly marked.
Estimated production time is generally about two weeks. Intricate or custom pieces—and orders placed during especially busy periods—may require up to 30 days. Shipping time begins after production is complete.
If you need a piece for a specific date or event, please contact me before ordering.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Returns are not accepted. An unworn piece may be exchanged within three months of purchase, with the buyer responsible for all exchange-related shipping costs.
If the size seems wrong, please contact me before wearing the bracelet. Once worn, it is no longer eligible for exchange, but resizing is often possible depending on the design. Send a photo and brief description so I can determine the best option.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, international shipping is available. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination and are calculated at checkout. Buyers are responsible for any customs fees or import taxes that may apply.
Repairs, Custom Work & Guarantees
Will my bracelet look exactly like the photos?
Each Nomadic Artistry bracelet is handmade using natural materials. While the overall design will match the listing photos, slight variations in leather, braid tension, and metal tone are normal and expected.
These subtle differences are part of what makes each piece unique.
What if something goes wrong, and do you offer repairs?
Please contact me with a photo and brief description. Many concerns can be corrected through adjustment or repair, especially when addressed early.
I stand behind the quality of my work. If an issue arises within six months of purchase and the care guidelines have been followed, I will review the circumstances and may repair or replace the piece.
Repairs are also often available after six months, and I frequently repair bracelets by other makers when the original artist is no longer reachable. Any applicable fee will be discussed before work begins.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Custom and bespoke commissions are welcome. We can adapt an existing design through color, materials, size, or closure—or create an entirely original piece around a person, occasion, or meaning.
Wedding commissions receive an additional distinction: when I create an entirely original design specifically for a bride or groom, I retire it within my own work and will not repeat it for another client. It belongs to that couple’s story alone.
