Dori - Antiqued
This is the antiqued version of Dori. The original, in its bright finish, is where many people start.
Made with heavy-gauge pewter, it has a reassuring weight and a structure that holds up well to daily wear from the beginning.
The antiqued finish settles into the braid, bringing out the movement in the pattern while softening the surface. Over time, it continues to shift, brightening at the high points and deepening in the recesses.
It wears easily.
And tends to become the piece everything else builds around.

Each piece is made by hand in my Washington studio using traditional Sámi techniques and materials imported directly from Sweden.
Materials vary by design and may include reindeer leather, pewter thread, antler, copper, beads, sterling silver, or 14k gold. The pewter thread is an alloy of tin and silver. Small variations are part of the handwork, not flaws.

Your piece is made after your order is placed, and most are ready to ship in about two weeks. Intricate and custom work sometimes needs more time, so during busy seasons, please allow up to 30 days. Shipping time is additional. If you need your piece by a specific date or occasion, contact me before ordering so I can confirm the timing for you.
