Cranberry

Cranberry is rooted in memory.

This design uses the same braid as Forget Me Not, reimagined here with deep cranberry-colored glass beads and sterling silver accents. The red is intentional, like the berries that sit low to the ground, hidden until you know how to look for them.

As a child in Alaska, berry picking meant following my mom through the muskeg with coffee cans hanging around our necks. That’s what we used. Cans knocking against our legs, boots wet, fingers cold, and the quiet satisfaction of filling them to the brim. Later, I walked those same places again with my own kids. Different years, same ground. Three generations tied together by the land and the act of paying attention.

Handwoven with pewter thread, cranberry glass beads, and sterling silver, it has warmth and structure at once. It wears comfortably and softens with time, becoming something you return to without thinking.

Cranberry carries that memory forward. Not loudly, just there.
