Bifrost
Bifrost takes its name from the bridge in Norse mythology. A broad central braid is framed by narrower braided edges, creating a layered design that feels connected from one side to the other.
Woven by hand in pewter thread and stitched onto reindeer leather, it has a substantial presence on the wrist. The repeating lines bring movement across the surface, while the borders give the design a clear, finished shape.
It begins bright and defined. With wear, the pewter softens and the braids settle, giving the surface a quieter finish that reflects the way it has been worn.
Layered. Substantial. Made to be worn.

Each piece is made by hand in my Washington studio using traditional Sámi techniques and materials imported directly from Sweden.
Materials vary by design and may include reindeer leather, pewter thread, antler, copper, beads, sterling silver, or 14k gold. The pewter thread is an alloy of tin and silver. Small variations are part of the handwork, not flaws.

Your piece is made after your order is placed, and most are ready to ship in about two weeks. Intricate and custom work sometimes needs more time, so during busy seasons, please allow up to 30 days. Shipping time is additional. If you need your piece by a specific date or occasion, contact me before ordering so I can confirm the timing for you.
