Alaska Cotton follows the same braid as the Forget Me Not series, shaped by some of my earliest memories of growing up in Alaska.
It’s inspired by wild cotton, cottongrass, that soft, airy plant that seems almost too delicate to last, and somehow does.
As a child, picking it felt like something small and magical. It held its shape long after it was gathered, staying with you in a quiet way. Years later, I walked those same places again with my own kids and shared it with them. Same ground, different time.
Handwoven with pewter thread and finished on reindeer leather, the bracelet carries that same lightness and structure together.

Each piece is made by hand in my Washington studio using traditional Sámi techniques and materials imported directly from Sweden.
Materials vary by design and may include reindeer leather, pewter thread, antler, copper, beads, sterling silver, or 14k gold. The pewter thread is an alloy of tin and silver. Small variations are part of the handwork, not flaws.

Your piece is made after your order is placed, and most are ready to ship in about two weeks. Intricate and custom work sometimes needs more time, so during busy seasons, please allow up to 30 days. Shipping time is additional. If you need your piece by a specific date or occasion, contact me before ordering so I can confirm the timing for you.
